HISTORICAL BURIAL SITE DISCOVERED IN COROZAL TOWN, BELIZE IN JUNE, 2015

The Institute of Archaeology(NICH) was called on Friday, June 5th, 2015 to salvage skeletal remains discovered by construction workers digging a foundation in South End, Corozal Town, Belize. With kind permission from the owners of the property, colleagues at IA worked to unearth three skeletons. They excavated the site which has been identified historically by residents as part of a former cemetery.
