A RECIPE FOR YOU TODAY - PORK A LA NARANJA


PORK A LA NARANJA
Ingredients:
2 lbs boneless pork leg
2 cups fresh orange juice
1 liter chicken stock
2 seeded chili peppers
4 garlic cloves
3 medium potatoes
Oil
Salt and pepper
Chopped cilantro
Finely chopped onion

PREPARATION:
In a large pot place a little oil to heat.

While oil is heating, season the meat with salt and pepper all over.

Put the meat in the heated oil and brown perfectly on both sides over medium heat.

While the meat gets brown, blend the orange juice with chili pepper and garlic.

Once the meat is well browned add the liquid and the chicken broth on it.

Blend well. Cover and cook on low heat for 3 to 4 hours.

Put the potatoes in the same pot but cook for only about 1 hour or until cooked to a firm feel, not cooked too soft or breaking.

When the potatoes are done, take them out, and  peel. Before serving the meat fry potato a little.

Since the meat is ready, you take it out and put it in a bowl, cover it with the half thickening sauce and decorate with potatoes, cilantro and onion.

Serve with hot tortillas or toasted tortillas and white or brown rice.
